How we handle the information you send us through this website.
This policy explains what personal information BigTrans India Private Limited (“BigTrans”, “we”, “us”) collects through www.bigtrans.in, why we collect it, and how it is looked after.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to send us. That means:
- Enquiry and quotation forms — your name, company name, email address, telephone number, and the transportation details you provide (pickup and delivery locations, goods type, approximate weight, vehicle type, required dates and any additional requirements or message).
- Direct contact — anything you include when you email or telephone us using the details published on this site.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, payment card details, bank account numbers, government identification numbers or passwords through this website.
Technical information
Our web server keeps standard access and error logs, which may include your IP address, the time of the request and the page requested. We also record the IP address of form submissions temporarily so we can apply rate limiting and block automated abuse. These records are used for security and troubleshooting only.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
- To provide and administer transportation services you request.
- To keep in contact with you about a movement that is in progress.
- To protect this website against spam and abuse.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send you marketing that you have not asked for.
Sharing
To carry out a movement we may need to share relevant details with the transport partners, fleet owners, drivers or rail operators engaged for your consignment — for example the pickup and delivery addresses and a site contact. We share the minimum needed to complete the work.
We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and loads no third-party
tracking scripts. A single essential session cookie
(BIGTRANS_SESS) is set when you open a page carrying an enquiry form.
It holds no personal information: it exists to link your browser to a security token
that protects the form against cross-site request forgery. It expires when you close
your browser.
Security
Enquiries submitted through this site are transmitted over HTTPS and delivered to our mailbox over an authenticated, encrypted mail connection. Access to enquiry data is limited to the staff who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you send us.
Retention
Enquiries are retained for as long as needed to respond to you and to keep a record of the services we have provided, and thereafter for as long as we are required to keep commercial records. Rate-limiting records are short lived and are removed automatically.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to retain it. Write to corporate@bigtrans.in and we will respond.

Where this site links to another organisation's website — for example a mapping service — that site's own privacy policy applies once you leave ours.
