The right equipment for the consignment

Vehicles are engaged to suit the cargo — not the other way round. That is the advantage of a national network of fleet owner tie-ups backed by dedicated contract vehicles.

Our Approach

A national network, matched to each movement

BigTrans works through long-standing tie-ups with fleet owners in cities across India, alongside vehicles placed on dedicated long-term contracts.

It means we are not obliged to fit your consignment to a standing fleet. A chemical tanker movement, a containerised distribution run and an over-dimensional vessel each get equipment selected for that job.

Every vehicle is verified before loading against our Vehicle Engagement & Information Checklist — covering registration, permit, road tax, insurance, PUC and physical condition, along with driver and owner details.

Equipment Types

What we engage

Tell us the cargo and we will confirm the equipment. Where a movement needs specialised trailers, that assessment happens before anything is committed.

Full Truck Load Vehicles

Open and closed body trucks engaged in full for a single consignment, point to point.

Engaged for: FTL movements, dedicated contracts

Container Trailers

Trailer units carrying containerised cargo on long-distance and distribution lanes.

Engaged for: containerised freight, long-haul movements

Tankers

Bulk liquid units operated under the product handling and emergency procedures set out in our SOP.

Engaged for: chemicals and bulk liquids

Multi-Axle & Hydraulic Trailers

Low-bed and multi-axle equipment selected against the dimensions and weight of the specific cargo.

Engaged for: ODC consignments, project cargo

Dedicated Contract Vehicles

Vehicles placed on long-term contract and committed to a customer’s plant, route or distribution lane.

Engaged for: long-term contracts, milk runs

Rail Wagons

Indian Railways wagon capacity on the Vapi–Guwahati route, with road legs at both ends.

Engaged for: rail-cum-road movements, bulk special trains

Equipment is engaged per movement, so exact vehicle specifications are confirmed against your consignment at the time of quoting rather than published as a fixed list.

Before Loading

Every vehicle is checked

The same checks run on every engagement, whether it is a single truck load or a multi-vehicle project movement.

  • Vehicle documents — RC, PUC, permit, road tax and insurance
  • Vehicle condition — tyres, body, lights, brakes, wipers and tool kit
  • Proper parking, careful reversing and wheel stoppers in place
  • Engine completely stopped and keys removed before handling
  • No drinking, no smoking and no wandering around the vehicle
  • TREM Card and MSDS available on the movement
  • Rear doors opened from behind the door and secured
  • Any damage noted on the transport document

ODC & Project Cargo

Where specialised equipment matters most

Over-dimensional consignments — reactors, vessels, columns, structural fabrications and plant equipment — need low-bed, multi-axle and hydraulic trailers selected against the physical dimensions and weight of the cargo.

Equipment selection is only part of it. Route feasibility, the loading and lashing method, and the approvals a movement of that size requires are all planned before the vehicle is placed.
